Emir of Madina hosts 217 Algerian pilgrims MADINA – Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Majed, Emir of Madina Region, has issued directives to provide accommodation to 217 Algerian pilgrims in five-star hotels after the housing group with which the Algerian Haj mission had signed an agreement failed to accommodate them. Prince Abdul Aziz issued directives to ensure the Algerian pilgrims' comfort and to accommodate them in the hotels until proper accommodation can be found. He also ordered an investigation into the cause of the problem. The Algerian pilgrims were stranded for over five hours in buses that took them from King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah to Madina. – SPA 5,000 wheelchairs provided to pilgrims By Abdulaziz Ghazzawi JEDDAH – The General Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has provided the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madina with 5,000 wheelchairs for disabled and elderly pilgrims. The director of the presidency's Wheelchairs Department Mash'hoor Al-Manami said the presidency has designated 20 entrances for special needs persons. Those are King Abdul Aziz, new Ajyad, Hunain, Al-Safa, Al-Marwa, Al-Qarara, Al-Fatah and Al-Madina gates, in addition to Al-Arqam, Al-Marwa, Murad, Al-Qararah elevators; Al-Madina and Al-Nadwa bridges and gates 64, 74, 84 and 94.
