The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Hai'a) in Mahayil arrested a man on Thursday for attempting to blackmail a young woman by threatening to publish photographs of her. The man was identified by the Hai'a after receiving information from the alleged victim, and his telephone was found to contain “dozens of licentious images and video recordings”. The Hai'a passed the accused on to police for further investigation.
