A runaway housemaid is being held at Al-Dawadami Prison after being accused by her employers of “trying to practice magic on them.” The woman, who fled from the family employing her in the town west of Riyadh, left behind locks of hair, fingernail cuttings and personal artifacts reportedly belonging to members of the family, prompting them to contact the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. Arrested at an unspecified date, the woman confessed to the charges before being taken to prison.
