A Saudi man has sold a falcon he found in the wilderness for the sum of SR299,000, or nearly $80,000. Sa'eed Al-Huweiti, from the village of Al-Musa'adiya to the north of Al-Qunfudha, said he came across the bird on a hunting trip to the region's Qais Mountains. “I sold it to a professional hunter,” Al-Huweiti said. “The price for falcons seems to still be on the rise, even though there are plenty of other more modern and effective ways to hunt these days,” he added.
