King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) has been listed among the top-level providers of e-services in Saudi Arabia by the Saudi e-government program (Yesser). Announcing the program, Dr. Khaled Al-Sultan, rector of KFUPM, said the Yesser program is the Saudi government platform for creating interest in implementing the e-government concept. It is part of many initiatives and projects adopted by the government to achieve sustained economic growth and development. Specifically, the program is aimed at raising the productivity and efficiency of the public sector, providing better and easier to use services for individual and business customers, increasing the return on investment, and providing required information in a timely and highly accurate fashion. KFUPM, being a government institution of higher learning, has successfully contributed to the development and growth of the country and its citizens by providing high quality e-services to citizens, government agencies, business organizations and employees for their convenience and satisfaction.
