US police investigating the kidnapping of a Saudi woman at a shopping mall in Houston in August have obtained a video-recording reportedly showing her being pushed into a vehicle in the parking lot and tied up as her two assailants attempted to inject her with an unknown substance. Sources at the Saudi Consulate in Houston told Okaz newspaper that police were studying the cassette for more details on the perpetrators of the attack in which the victim, who was found the following day, said she suffered a seizure attack prompting her abductors to abandon her. The Consulate said in August that the woman was kidnapped at knife-point while out shopping and that her attackers tried to administer an injection, but when she fought back she was beaten unconscious. She was not sexually assaulted, the Consulate said. Police found her the next day as she returned to consciousness to find herself abandoned in the street.
