The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) has created jobs for women at a special call center that will service the needs of local and international businesspeople and government officials. A total of six women have been employed to operate the call center, said Tarad Al-Asmari, Director of Media at the JCCI, Thursday. The women will be employed in an environment that will ensure their total privacy, said Sara Bint Abdullah Baghdadi, Director of the Service Sector at the chamber She added that there is a great need to inform the business sector of events organized by the JCCI. “The JCCI has already organized and hosted more than 700 seminars, events and workshops over the last six months, with more than 50,000 people representing various segments of society,” said Baghdadi. The center will also help to inform academics, researchers, officials of the Jeddah Municipality and other key officials in Jeddah, she said. “The center will not only inform customers of events, it will also help project a positive image of the JCCI and the development of employment opportunities and support,” she added. “The center will play an important role in building alliances between the private and public sectors and provide logistical support to the chamber's committees. It will also help in the preparation of marketing plans.” Lufat Mohammed Al-Ahdal, Director of Communication and Publications said: “We aim to establish the integrated database to ensure effective communication with the community.”
