Nasser Al-Shamrani of Al-Shabab put his team in the lead, nine minutes before the break. He again scored from the spot in the 53rd minute. Ittifaq's Moroccan midfielder scored for his team in the 66th minute. Abdullah Al-Shihail increased the margin in the 76th minute. Another defender, Abdullah Al-Astta completed the tally, ten minutes later. Al-Ittifaq is yet to win a match in the competition. It is in the last position with only two points from two draws. Meanwhile, Al-Shabab is in the second place with 19 points. Al-Hilal leads with 22 points. In another match, Al-Wehdah shared two goals with its guest Al-Ahli at the King Abdul Aziz Sports City. The Moroccan striker Yousef Al-Qidaiwi of Al-Wehdah put the host in the lead in the injury time of the first half. Al-Ahli Midfielder Mohammed Al-Sifri equalized in the 72nd minute. With one match in hand, Al-Ahli is in the fifth position with 10 points. Al-Wehdah jumped to eighth place with six points, with two matches in hand. Two Saudis on AFC list Saudi players, Al-Ittihad's Mohammed Noor and Al-Shabab's Nasser Al-Shamrani, were among the players who were short-listed by Asian Football Federation to select Asia's best player of 2009.
