Aqsa mosque is a red line that if crossed could have grave repercussions on the entire region and would not be tolerated at any cost, an OIC emergency meeting warned in Jeddah Sunday. The extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) was held here at the OIC headquarters. Terming Israel's illegitimate practices flagrant violations of the international law, participants of the meeting vowed to extend their all-out support to the Palestinians in their just cause. Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki said: “Today, a settler sneaked into the Al-Aqsa compound in a bid to assassinate people praying inside the mosque but the worshippers caught him before he could do any harm and handed him to the Israeli authorities.” Interestingly, he said, the Israeli authorities hushed up the matter saying that the arrested man was suffering from some mental disorder. “We want the Muslim countries to keep their commitments. There are only two OIC members who are keeping their financial commitments. Unfortunately, some Muslim countries reportedly voted against the report that accused Israel of committing war crimes.” The General Secretary of OIC, Dr. Ekmiloddin Ihsanoglu, said that all the attacks on the holy mosque were part of a conspiracy to replace Al-Aqsa with the so-called Solomon's Temple.
