Seller Meet is being held at Hotel Trident Jeddah from Nov. 3-4. The event is being organized by the Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) of India in association with the Consulate General of India, Jeddah. Around 20 leading Indian companies dealing in the products, which include Suitings, Shirtings, Dress Materials, Embroidered fabrics & High Fashion fabrics, Home furnishings, Scarves, Abaya, Stoles, Shawls, Dupattas, Laces, Motifs, Mufflers, Wool mesh fabrics besides yarns of man-made fibres and blends etc, will be taking part in the above event. India is one of the major producers of man-made fibres in the world having a massive production and distribution base for textiles. Indian man-made fibre textiles are exported to most of the countries of the world particularly Europe, the USA and the Middle East region. Saudi Arabia has traditional market for Indian textiles. The BSM is intended to further strengthen existing trade relations and to provide a glimpse of the new products and qualities introduced by Indian manufacturers. Historically, textile industry was the pioneer of Industralization in India. It occupies an unique place in the economy of the country by virtue of its contribution to the Industrial output. The fibres and filament yarns produced in India are comparable to the best in the world. Large investments have also been made in the spinning sector, which has led to the production of superior quality spun yarn.
