Control and Investigation Commission on Saturday discovered shortcomings with preventive measures against swine flu in education and health facilities in the Taif Governorate, a CIC source said. In an inspection tour of Dhulum schools and clinics, north of Taif, the CIC found that the schools lacked awareness leaflets, isolation rooms, sanitizers, and disinfectants basic health precautions against swine flu, the source added. The CIC reported overcrowded classrooms which could help spread the disease. The clinics did not have basic regular flu medication, referring all cases to major hospitals in the city of Taif. The CIC has written a report of their inspection tour to the authorities. The CIC also visited different government offices in the small town to see precautionary measures against swine flu.
