Princess Adila Bint Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, President of the National Museum Consultative Commission, has described antique renovation and restoration as work “compatible with a woman's nature” requiring “patience, inquiry, and precise hands”. Speaking at a meeting on artifacts in the Arabian Peninsula and the Middle East in Riyadh Wednesday which saw the conclusion of training courses on the restoration of historic artifacts, Prince Adila noted that 35 women took part in the courses, “chosen for creative potential in the field”. “The National Museum Consultative Commission has worked with the German Institute to give training to the museum's female staff and students at the Tourism and Antiquities College at King Saud University and to open up new areas for Saudi women to work in and help preserve the testimonies of cultures in which our Kingdom is rich,” the Princess said.
