Staff at King Khalid Hospital in Hafr Al-Batin saved the life of a housemaid Monday evening after she swallowed quantities of household detergent in an apparent suicide attempt. The sponsor and his family, who had been absent from the home at the time of the incident, returned to find the Asian woman lying on the floor immobile, and immediately rushed her to hospital. An official described the woman's condition as stable.
