Mehanna
ON October 21 mainstream media outlets such as, The New York Times, AP, Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Time magazine, and the Christian Science Monitor ran sensational news item on how the FBI has arrested a Sudbury (Massachusetts) man, Tarek Mehanna, on charges of terrorist activities – ranging from “plotting to shoot up a mall, kill US troops fighting overseas, and assassinate US officials” to “conspiring support to terrorists.”
And the best part of the allegation: “He failed to get access to automatic weapons.” Now even an American idiot would tell you that purchasing an automatic weapon (AK-47, AR-15, Uzi assault weapons, etc) is no problem in the US.
The pro-Israel mainstream media outlets and the top anti-Muslim propagandists have succeeded in creating an image of Islam and Muslims, that of what Noam Chomsky refers to as manufacturing consent about non-existence of violation of the law.

Saudi malls
Due to the fear of invasion of privacy or that male salesclerks would install hidden cameras, there are no fitting rooms in the majority of clothing shops for women in Saudi Arabia.
The only shops which do have fitting rooms are those shops found in the ladies only malls or specific shopping areas. So what does that mean when someone shops at a regular mall? To begin with I advise shoppers to always have a tape measure tucked away in a handbag. It's difficult enough to determine size without a handy fitting room and this can be further magnified by the variety of sizes too. Hence, this is where the tape measure can be very convenient.
But still, most individuals usually prefer to try an outfit on before buying. What the stores in Saudi Arabia will do to allow an individual to go and try on an outfit is to have the individual pay for the outfit first. She would then go to the nearest ladies washroom which typically has several fitting rooms inside for the purpose of being able to try on outfits.

Tony Blair
AH, Tony Blair... inheritor and champion of Thatcherite neo-liberal economics and Zionist neo-conservative foreign policy, presider over a dramatic rise in British Islamophobia, appointer of unelected Zionist tycoons to manage the good behavior of the Palestinians while they lose the last of their land and rights, holy liar, war criminal, hypocrite, a man complicit in the Gaza massacre, and in the 2006 assault on Lebanon's civilian infrastructure, and soon, perhaps, first president of the European Union.
I've written about this lovely chap before. Some of you may agree with George Monbiot's provocative argument that Blair's appointment to the post will provide the best opportunity for having him tried for war crimes. So far, Blair has only been rewarded for his crimes, with directorships, a book deal, and the joke post of “Middle East peace envoy,” which Monbiot calls “the supreme crime against satire.”
