terrorism advisory “Munasaha” program have conducted a two-week course at numerous centers in Al-Khorma, east of Taif, to address “deviant thought”. Coordinator for the Munasaha Committee and Executive President of the Enlightenment Program Saeed Al-Wadi said the focus of the program was Friday sermons, lectures and religious gatherings and competitions held at mosques, colleges and schools, and involved along with Munasaha officials 18 professors of sociology, psychology and Shariah Law. The fortnight was the first part of the program, according to Al-Wadi, with the second phase due to begin this Friday with contributions from professors of Shariah Law from Madina's Islamic University, Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, and Riyadh's Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University. The Munasaha Committee has also drafted in female Shariah Law specialists to “educate and enlighten women about the proper principles of the Islamic Shariah”, Al-Wadi said. Al-Wadi said the choice of regions for the program was based on studies showing an “inclination of some people to deviant thought or at the request of the public in those areas”.
