The General Court in Madina has turned to Interpol to locate a consultant gynecologist who reportedly left the country following accusations of “defamation, slander and attempted murder” at a private hospital in Madina. The court had been looking into the accusations made by an expatriate colleague at the hospital whose management had assured that the accused would be brought to the court in person. The Emir's Office in the region has now instructed the Commission for Investigation and Prosecution to pursue the case through Interpol and question hospital authorities over the manner of the gynecologist's departure. Saudi Interpol has succeeded, meanwhile, in the extradition of a man accused of obtaining tens of millions of riyals through fraudulent investment schemes. The Saudi Press agency said that the suspect fled the Kingdom and attempted to evade authorities by frequently moving between countries abroad.
