The UAE is investing $26 billion in sea and air transport infrastructure in attempts to establish itself as a global logistics hub. The high-profile projects underway in the UAE include the $7 billion Dubai World Central airport initiated by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, the Abu Dhabi Airport Company's $6.5 billion expansion program for the UAE capital's airport - including a logistics park- and a $1.6 billion expansion program for the Jebel Ali Port by Dubai Ports Authority. Deutsche Messe Dubai Branch, organizer of CeMAT Middle East, the world's largest trade show profile for internal logistics and materials handling that debuts in Dubai in February 2010, has revealed that leading global business organizations and key government institutions have made strong commitments to support the trade show. Deutsche Messe Dubai branch pointed out that international investors have been particularly impressed with the UAE's investments in air and sea infrastructure facilities. CeMAT Middle East will run concurrently with MDA Middle East and IA Middle East on Feb. 9-11, 2010 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
