Etihad Atheeb Telecom (GO) and Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) signed an Interconnect agreement, the company said in a statement on Monday. The deal was signed by Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Ahmed Bin Abdul Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GO and Eng Khalid Al Kaf, CEO of Mobily in the presence of senior officials of both companies. Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Ahmed said the agreement is a part of the framework of collaboration between licensed telecommunications companies in the Kingdom to ensure the provision of high quality services. The agreement will authorize the transfer of data and voice services between customers of both companies allowing them to benefit from all the services exchanged while ensuring the quality of services. The accord includes a connection between switches, and linked communication between signaling networks, transport networks traffic routing, synchronization, and Interface standards for connectivity, in addition to ensuring the level of service provided, and level of operation and maintenance processes, which includes network operation, routing management and traffic management, operational testing and safety standards, as well as procedures for billing and call detail records and intellectual property rights.
