Adrian Barath (63) led a stunning power-hitting show as Trinindad & Tobago breezed into the semifinals of the Champions League after beating Diamond Eagles by 24 runs here Sunday. The unbeaten Caribbean side rattled up 213-4, highest score of the tournament, and left Diamond Eagles with an almost impossible task of achieving the target in 14.2 overs to qualify for the next stage. Barath, however, turned the match into T&T's favor. The Eagles were perhaps the most unheralded team at the start of the tournament. But despite the lack of international players in their ranks, it was tenacious, punching above its weight, keeping calm in tense situations, and progressed into the second round. New South Wales Blues also stormed into the semifinals with a thumping six-wicket victory over Somerset. Somerset, put in to bat, could make only 111 for seven in 20 overs. In reply, New South Wales got an explosive start through David Warner (40 off 16 balls) to help it earn the biggest victory of the tournament. It was a must-win game for NSW and it came to the party in style. Brett Lee bowled with fire, Stuart Clark was as canny as ever and David Warner unleashed hell as NSW sealed the chase in 11.5 overs. Scores: Trinidad & Tobago 213 for 4 (Barath 63, Simmons 40) beat Eagles 189 for 5 (Rossouw 44) by 24 runs. New South Wales 112 for 4 (Warner 40) beat Somerset 111 for 7 (Clark 3
