Israel is illegitimate
With reference to the story “UN endorses Gaza report” (Oct. 17), I must say that all reports and resolutions that incriminate Israel are always said to be “unbalanced”. Israelis always get away with their crimes and I know it won't be easy to bring the criminals to justice this time either. They say that resisting occupation is terror, but destroying the Palestinian homes and confiscating their land is not terror? Is it “fun”?
America says it is the right of a state to take legitimate action to protect its citizens in the face of threats. But Israel is not a state. Though Israel tries to portray itself as a normal state, it is really an occupational and outlawed state. It imports its “citizens” from far and wide to occupy or “settle” on Palestinian land. America calls it a “legitimate action,” while these settlements are illegitimate. Are they taking a legitimate action to protect something illegitimate?!
