Police arrested a group of Bangladeshis Thursday for the theft of steel, electrical cables and motor vehicle parts in the Salamah district of the city. Acting on reports from the public of suspicious activities at a warehouse in the area, officers conducted a raid in which they seized numerous stolen goods which the gang sold by the kilogram. Police said that buyers would pay five riyals for steel, seven to 10 for aluminum and between 10 and 12 for copper. Automobile spare parts were sold according to make, model and year.
