Fire officials issued warnings Wednesday morning to 25 businesses in Umm Daum for health and safety violations during inspections of 89 restaurants, food stores, petrol stations and other service outlets in the north of Taif. A spokesman said that the owners of the sites were given 72 hours to rectify observed breaches of regulations, which included disabled fire extinguishers, exposed electrical fittings, or face stern penalties. Fire and safety authorities recorded the previous week 67 infractions at 234 commercial outlets in the town.
