Published in The Saudi Gazette on 16 - 10 - 2009

STC Group has assumed a leading position in the “Global 100” list of the top 100 companies in the field of communication at a global level for 2009.
The company was ranked 25th on the international list, rising from the 35th position obtained in 2008.
In addition, the group assumed the first rank in the Middle East. Both ranks were based on the group's financial results published in December 2008
The ‘Global 100” list contained only international companies that has a business network in different regions around the globe. This positive outcome comes during the critical period telecommunications sector and other sectors of the global economy went through during the current financial crises that shook the world's market for almost a whole year.
Many companies are still affected by the crises, which caused an increase in the operational costs, and a decrease in their profits and many of major players had to restructure their organizational charts or downsize the number of employees, even after the slight recovery in the market.
Referring to their solid financial position, Eng. Saud Al- Daweesh, CEO of STC Group, had assured the global economic crises didn't have an effect on the company's operations domestically or globally. Even the acquisition deals, which STC were a part of, recently, have drew the attention of prestigious financial groups which enabled them to produce positive economic reports, included in it the optimistic vision of STC in light of their current expansion and the high expectations in the future.
STC Group is noted for its important role in establishing and developing an advanced telecom industry at the domestic level. In addition, it responds quickly, and interacts dynamically with the change that occurs often in this industry, and to benefit from it in developing STC's presence in the local and global scene. This all comes hand-in-hand with the complete focus on customer services, and answering their needs with the highest quality through state-of-the-art and friendly-to-use channels.
