Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, Assistant Deputy Minister of the Interior for Security Affairs, made a visit Wednesday to the Al-Shuwaish family in the Mughaydeen village, north of Abha, to offer the leadership's and his own condolences over the killing of Amer Al-Shuwaish in a shootout with terror suspects near the Saudi border with Yemen Tuesday. On Aug. 28, Prince Mohammed Bin Naif, who is in charge of the Kingdom's anti-terror fight, was a target himself for a suicide bomb attack at his residence in Jeddah, from which he escaped. The prince spoke highly of the martyr who selflessly gave his life defending his country and people. “Amer was a hero to be proud of.” “I wish I had been there for the funeral prayer … and my coming here is the least to do for a hero like him,” the prince added. Prince Muhammad said that all the martyr's debts would be paid off and three of his brothers would be given jobs of their choice, adding that he would be ready to transfer the martyr's brother from Najran to Asir to take care of his aging father. The father, Ahmad Al-Suwaish, appreciated the prince's visit saying that “We all would sacrifice our lives for our country.”
