Authorities in Makkah have informed the family of Nasser Al-Harithy, the university professor found hanged at his home nearly two weeks ago, that his body will be given to them on Thursday. The family is expected to bury him the following day. Al-Harithy's body had been retained in order to conduct an autopsy to reveal the precise details of his death. While authorities maintain that Al-Harithy committed suicide, citing a suicide note, reports on his state of mind in the period leading up to his death, as well as the nature of his death itself, some members of his family remained unpersuaded and requested a full medical report. The conclusions of the autopsy are expected to be made known in two weeks.
