Saudi Cricket Center (SCC) has formally announced 22 probables for the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) T20 Cup which is being organized by the UAE under the auspices of Asian Cricket Council in Dubai from Nov. 22 to 30. Twelve associate and affiliate Asian countries will take part in this tournament. Saudi Arabia is in Group A with Afghanistan, the UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong and China. Group B has Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Nepal, Malaysia and Bahrain. Nadeem Nadwi, Chief Executive of SCC, said that the probables are very talented and they would perform well for Saudi Arabia. A group of 36 players from 3 affiliate associations – WPCA, YACA and SPCA – took part in the trials held in Jeddah. The probables from RCA and EPCA were shortlisted. The national selection committee which consists of representatives from affiliate associations – Khurshid Zafar (WPCA), Fayaz Bakhshi (RCA), Rao Mushtaq (MCL), Abdullah Saad (YACA), and Syed Akbar Hussain (EPCA) – is headed by SCC chief selector Qasim Naqvi. The list of probables was presented to SCC officials Nadeem Nadwi, Iftakhar Hussain, Sadiqul Islam and Hamid Rana on Oct. 5 for final approval. The probables from WPCA and YACA will join their respective academies while rest of the selected players will continue their training with their associations. An additional conditioning and coaching camp is planned from Nov. 15 to 19. The probables: Nadeem Amin, Shafiq Ahmad, Khalid Butt, Abdullah Essa, Hammad Saeed, Hussain Bhatti, Shoaib Ali and Zaheer Ahmad (WPCA), Rizwan Manzoor, Abdul Waheed Khan, Abdul Qadir Khan and Mohammd Hasnain (RCA), Zakaria Saad, Rizwan and Nasrullah Bhatti (YACA), Sohrab Ali, Mohsin, Kashif Mehar, Kashif Riyaz, Hassan Bukhari and Abbas Hussain (EPCA) and Abid (SPCA). __
