“The Quran and Contemporary Technology – Information Technology” is the title of a three-day symposium starting Tuesday to discuss 37 studies on how contemporary technology can help in the dissemination of the Qur'an. The event, whose opening will occur in the presence of Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Majed, Emir of Madina, is being organized by the King Fahd Holy Qur'an Printing Complex which was inaugurated by the late King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz in 1985. Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdul Aziz Aal Al-Sheikh, said the symposium showed the Kingdom's adherence to the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and the Prophet's Sunnah in all of life's affairs, and praised the printing complex's work in serving the Holy Qur'an through printing and distribution, and translation of the meanings of its verses and providing Muslims worldwide with copies of the Qur'an. Aal Al-Sheikh said the symposium follows on from four previous occasions organized by the Qur'an printing complex.
