Police here arrested a mentally ill man for claiming to be a prophet. According to Al-Madina newspaper Wednesday, the Madina Governorate issued instructions to police to investigate a Saudi father of three in his sixties and a former Saudi Arabian Airlines employee. The man was detained by police and transferred to Taif Mental Health Hospital. The paper said the man began to claim that he was a prophet and has come to bring justice and forgiveness and rid the Ummah of its woes and wars, after he retired from work due to family pressures and suffered a subsequent deterioration of health.
