The three were among five people from Karachi who were implicated in the narcotics smuggling case. The Pakistanis were found innocent after officials at the Saudi Interior Ministry were acquainted with the results of investigations with those involved in the case and arrested in Pakistan. Interior Minister Rehman Malik thanked King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, for the generous brotherly gesture in releasing them.
