Nineteen high school and higher secondary school students attended summer camp 2009 organized by International Indian School, Riyadh (boys section) in Rawda District, Dr. Asim Ahmad, IISR Vice Principal (boys section) and camp's in-charge, said The month-long summer camp ended Thursday. Ahmed said the camp organized various activities such as sports, music, art and craft, and computer science among others to hone the skills of the students besides teaching them mathematics and science. “Organizing summer camp for the 10th and 12th classes students was a new concept introduced for the first time at IISR,” he said. The summer camp activities were designed in such a way as to help the students in their learning process, Ahmed said adding that the students got an opportunity to interrelate with teachers and freely discussed queries in subjects such as mathematics, science and chemistry. The students were each charged a fee of SR200 for extra curricular activities and SR300 for attending mathematics and science (chemistry) classes. Teachers at the summer camp would also be paid as per the reules, he said.
