The number of Saudi job seekers with academic qualifications, as recorded by the Ministry of Labor in 2008 The number, revealed in the ministry's latest figures, represents a 5.9 fall on the previous year. Heading the list were 50,411 secondary school graduates, followed by 43,135 intermediate school graduates, and holders of primary school certificates who numbered 24,691. The lowest number, among other categories, was the 103 job seekers with higher education qualifications. As to age groups, the largest representation at 45.2% belonged to job seekers between the ages of 20 and 25, with the over-60s the least represented at 0.3%. Regional variations, according to the Ministry of Labor, showed that 55,295 – or 37.6% of the total – were from the Eastern Province, followed by the province of Riyadh with its 27,780 job seekers, or 18.9%. Hail registered the lowest number – 605 – representing 0.4% of job seekers in 2008. __
