A Kidney Dialysis Center will be set up in Burkina Faso at a cost of SR9 million. It is a personal gift from Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, to the people of Burkina Faso. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Major General Dr. Kattab Bin Eid Al-Otaibi, Director General of Medical Services Department of the Armed Forces, said that the center began to receive patients and that it is attached to the University Hospital in the capital city of Ouagadougou. The center has been built according to the latest medical and technical specifications, he said. The center, he noted, was designed and executed under the supervision of Management of Execution and Maintenance of Medical Services of the Armed Forces and it had been followed up by the Crown Prince. Omar Diawara, Ambassador of Burkina Faso and Dean of Diplomatic Corps in the Kingdom, expressed his government's thanks and gratitude to the Crown Prince for this humanitarian gesture. Burkina Faso's Minister of Health said that Prince Sultan Center for Dialysis is considered among the most modern centers in the countries of West Africa and it contributes to the improvement of health services provided to patients.
