SAP has announced the implementation of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution at Saudi's first private power plant and desalination station management firm, First National Operations and Maintenance Company (NOMAC). NOMAC is currently in the process of implementing the SAP ERP software business solution at its headquarters in Jeddah and two newly built plants, intended to meet growing power and water demand in Saudi Arabia. “Companywide integration is crucial in our industry, and with enhanced clarity and increased insight of the SAP ERP software, we will have the power needed to adapt quickly and cost effectively to changing business, market, and industry requirements. The SAP business solution will enhance plant safety by allowing the integration of a range of activities, including health and safety, power and water production, and environmental monitoring from all NOMAC-run facilities. “This will provide us with competitive advantage, and we can look toward the future and operate as a best-run business over the long term,” said C.B Gupta, business development manager for NOMAC. The SAP ERP software includes a host of horizontal solutions, such as finance and human resources, as well as modules from the core ERP solution, such as quality management, sales and distribution, production and planning, materials management, and work clearance management. “NOMAC is committed to operational excellence according to the highest standards and practices recommended for equivalent utilities. “NOMAC has been working with SAP to ensure best business processes using internationally proven solutions, a culmination of SAP's experience over more than 30 years, with thousands of successful customers in more than 25 industries,” said Sergio Maccotta, managing director, SAP Middle East and North Africa.
