Torres unleashes deadly form to lift Gran Matador

Southpaw Nap Torres displayed his awesome performance to emerge as the Bowler of the Week and to power Gran Matador team to be the Team of the Week in the 22nd week of the FBGR Thursday Bowling League, 8th Conference sponsored by the Almarai Company.
Also supporting the tilt is the ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC).
Bankable Torres rocked lanes to post 886 points to power Gran Matador to record 20-2 victory against the Pangasinan Waves. Also sharing limelight with Torres were Fareed Aquino (850), Tony Napo (738), Donjie Mapalad (589) and Rene Arimbuyutan (554). Team mentor Rodel Molina contributed 352 series in two games.
Bernie Bacani and durable Fred Dioquino led in Pangasinan Waves by tallying separate series of 720 and 701. Mel Solas came next by pouring 689 points and Mario Rivera followed Solas by scoring 623 points. Buddy Balisi and Bernie Magbag added 336 and 326 series in two games.
Reigning champion Eraserheads blanked Almarai Company, 16-7 to widen its lead and to stay strong as the undisputed holder of the numero uno spot. Ronald Bautista shot 803 points to be on top in Eraserheads while Benito Santos (785) and Jhun Macarandan (754) also excelled. Willy Nogoy chipped in 528 series in three games.
Jhun Daniel sparked 754 points to be at the helm in Almarai Company and the next best scores were Marlon Belista (715), Alex Armada (711), Leo Ceballos (532), Gary Lora (493) and Rico Garcia (393).
Stesa-Thales burned the lanes to roll past Ventura Aces, 15-7 and posting the best score was Dante Cambare with 768 points and he was followed by Nelso Respicio (753), Ruben Babasa (744), Abe Abulencia (705) and team captain Boni Manalang (659).
Ric Ventura topscored in Ventura Aces by knocking down a series of 786 and next to him were Jerry Damiray (768) and Sonny Alviso (712). Sydney Kawi and Arnold Salcedo toppled 675 and 628 points respectively.
In another action, SABB defeated Boomerang, 13-8 through Cas Encila and Doy del Moral who post 729 and 711. Francis Guron downed 684 points. Yasser Mohamed, Arnold Jesena and Jun Jabonera scored 592, 496 and 398.
Noli Ritual and Larry Mondoy led in Boomerang by hitting separate series of 736 and 731. Rollie Cleofe and Gayner Elias registered 699 and 697 while Benny Mondoy added 519 series in three games.
In another pair of lanes, Orbit Pinoy Plus nipped Over Hit, 12-7 and topscoring in Orbit Pinoy Plus was the promising Pastor Rodel Canda with 756 points. Glenn Espiritu dazzled by downing 737 points. Wilson Bacala had 698 points while Resty de Jesus and Atoi Ramos submitted 553 and 530 points in three outings.
Arnold Quindara and the fastrising Hani Al-Nasleh led in Over Hit by carding separate series of 749 and 709 while Bobot Aguiire impressed by posting 703 points. Noel Ordonez and Dennis Gabriel recorded 696 and 660.
Fuji Elevators defeated Nadec Strokers, 12-6 through the good games of Fhel Ramos (774), Thong Asuncion (760), Chito Llagas (723), Ruel Toledo (670) and Jerry Austira (663).
Reynald Medina and Ely Fanugao sparkled to be at the helm in Nadec Strokers by posting 734 and 707 while Leody Ersando and Charles Rosauro had 684 and 675. Lope Ramirez sealed 666 points.
