Mental Health Hospital in Jeddah found itself forced to restore to police power to discharge 25 mentally-challenged patients who were given discharge order after allegedly completing their treatment. The hospital also decided to discharge them to find a vacancy for new patients. “The 25 patients have received treatment and good care for years in the hospital and they are now fully recovered,” said Adnan Mufti, medical director of Jeddah Mental Health Hospital. When they refused to leave the hospital on voluntary basis, the hospital had to call the police to bring their family members to take them home, he said. Okaz __
