Five persons each sentenced to three years' prison and 500 lashes of the whip for impersonating criminal investigation officials and robbing the homes of expatriate workers had their verdicts upheld by the Appeals Court in Jeddah Monday. The court ruling is final after the three appealed the original sentences given by the District Court which found them guilty of operating as a gang posing as security officers and illegally and forcibly entering private homes to commit acts of robbery.
