Abdul Aziz Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, Sunday inked here contracts with six local companies with a total value of SR314 million. The signed contracts include establishment of three TV and Radio centers in Hail, Tabuk and Jizan with total amount of SR125 million. The contract is to be carried out in 18 months. Establishment of 10 digital TV broadcast stations in Al-Henakeyah, Msegeed, Al-Ahmar,Tarabah, Al-Harjah, Balqarn, Ba Al-Asmar, Hobouna and Al-Mandaq with total amount of SR75 million will also be part of the contract. Another contract worth SR17.7 million for the supply, delivery and installation of studio equipment for Makkah TV. Also a contract worth SR20 million has been signed to construct a multi-story car parking lot at the ministry headquarters in Riyadh. Khoja also signed operation and maintenance contract of television complex and security systems for the ministry's premises in Riyadh worth SR1.8 million as well as an operation and maintenance of radio transmitting stations in each of the Al-Khumrah, Jeddah, Duba and Gurayat and Ras Al-Zour with a value of SR5.6 million.
