Towaijri, Deputy President of the Saudi Technical education and Vocational Training Corporation for joint training, on Sunday revealed the Corporation's intention to conclude agreements with global beauty companies to benefit from their expertise in creating specialist institutions for women that train for making beauty products, adornment, knitting and others. This came after Al-Towaijri inaugurated the fourth Recruitment Meeting in Jeddah on Sunday. Al-Towaijri said the Corporation – since it was assigned to girls' vocational training – is seeking new and adequate training programs for Saudi women that are equal to programs introduced to men. There are 10 girls' vocational institutes, with 30 more planned within the next 5 years. Regarding military vocational training, Al-Towaijri said more than 15,000 individuals were trained in the field since the beginning of 1425. Ninty percent of them graduated and immediately recruited in the private sector as many completed their training and obtained a bachelor degree from Riyadh's Technical College. On vocational training in jails, Al-Towaijri said the Corporation supervises 29 prisons. He said the training programs, success depends on inmates' seriousness and commitment, adding that they are noticeably interested in taking part in these programs that qualify them to obtain good jobs. Job opportunities for former prisoners are plenty in the private sector, especially after the Labor Ministry's decision of accounting one former prisoner for two Saudis in terms of the application of Saudiazation.
