Authorities in Makkah have closed down a pharmacy in the Grand Mosque central zone that was operating without a license and employed staff holding work permits as drivers and laborers. Staff at the shop were also found to be illegally trading in mobile telephone recharge cards. The Medical and Pharmaceutical Licensing Administration said that inspection tours would continue throughout the year and appealed to the public to inform authorities of any violations.
