Some 200 female medical volunteers have stepped forward to assist visitors to the Grand Mosque in Makkah during this Ramadan Umrah season, the Red Crescent has said. Head of the Red Crescent's volunteer committees Asama Al-Rifaeof said that the women had come from public hospitals and medical colleges in Makkah and Jeddah to help raise swine flu virus awareness by handing out leaflets and face masks, while also treating on-site cases of cold, asthma, high-blood pressure and others.
