ACC opens first standalone GM pre-owned car showroom in ME
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 04 - 09 - 2009

Aljomaih Automotive Company (AAC) has opened the first standalone General Motors premium brands, pre-owned vehicle showroom in the Middle East.
The state-of-the-art showroom in Riyadh will showcase pre-owned vehicles from GM's premium brands including Cadillac, HUMMER and Saab.
AAC already has a CPOV showroom for Chevrolet and GMC vehicles, but chose to broaden its offering to customers by opening a dedicated CPOV showroom for GM's premium brands.
“Aljomaih Automotive has invested heavily in its standalone showroom for GM's premium brands in order to reach out to those customers with the highest expectations of products and service,” said Sam Maatouk, AAC certified and pre-owned vehicles manager.
The AAC premium brands showroom opening is the latest in GM's growing network of facilities. The CPOV program is the largest region-wide, manufacturer-backed, pre-owned vehicle program in the Middle East, and it's still growing. There are currently 22 showrooms, but this is expected to grow to 27 by the end of the year.
“This impressive growth is the result of increasing demand for quality pre-owned vehicles. GM puts its pre-owned vehicles through a rigorous 110-point test to verify their safety and reliability. These tests screen for any wear and tear you would typically expect with a pre-owned vehicle. Only when a vehicle has passed this stringent testing process, can it become GM Certified,” said Nigel Kellow, GM certified used vehicle and remarketing manager in the Middle East.
To make the overall buying experience even more gratifying, each certified pre-owned vehicle also comes with value added, manufacturer-backed services. These include a comprehensive regional warranty, a seven-day satisfaction guarantee, 24-hour GM roadside assistance and a free inspection after 1,500 km.
GM has also made it easier to locate a GM certified pre-owned vehicle in the region without even stepping into a dealership. The latest pre-owned vehicles available online in the Middle East can be viewed on GM's CPOV website, www.gmcertifiedarabia.com.
