Of the around 3,500 cases of swine flu detected in the Kingdom, the recovery rate is 98 percent, the Ministry of Health has assured the public. The ministry said follow-up reports on the health of Umrah pilgrims in Makkah and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque were “very satisfactory.” Only 28 swine flu cases were detected among the pilgrims since the start of Ramadan. No deaths among pilgrims have been reported so far, the ministry said Wednesday. In Madina, the ministry statement said, 17 cases have been reported among Ramadan visitors to the Prophet's Mosqu. All of them have completely recovery, the statement added. The ministry said the rate of A-H1N1 infections during Ramadan was the same as the previous months. However, the ministry said there may be several unreported cases of people who have recovered without seeking treatment at health facilities. The ministry called upon all public and private institutions to support its efforts to confront the pandemic and enlighten the public about protective measures.
