Sybase, Inc., a developer of enterprise and mobile software, announced it has presented its 2009 Innovator Awards to customers that have showcased implementations of Sybase technology to manage, analyze and mobilize data. Award recipients are Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), Hana Bank of Korea, MobiDM and CommerceTel. “We recognize these customers who exemplify ways of implementing Sybase technology,” said Dr. Raj Nathan, senior VP and CMO, Sybase. “These applications of our technologies to manage, analyze and mobilize data have not only benefited the business operations that the technology touches, but have also demonstrated the collective trend in enterprise software application.” SAMA, the central bank of Saudi Arabia, completed a project “SARIE,” linking all commercial banks to the central bank for electronic fund transfers. To provide data movement and online transaction processing as well as disaster recovery capabilities, SAMA built a core solution leveraging Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise as the core database, and Sybase Replication Server for data synchronization and disaster recovery. Hana Bank of Korea is a financial institution in East Asia. For its Banking System Project, it implemented Sybase IQ analytics server in its data mart to collect, integrate and analyze dispersed data from a variety of systems. By sharing the common data of each work division, data redundancy is eliminated, and data consistency is maintained by the local store architecture.
