NCB launches premium Visa Platinum credit card

National Commercial Bank (NCB), one of the first and most prominent banks in Saudi Arabia, has launched its latest Shariah-compliant premium credit card - The Visa Platinum credit card.
The Platinum credit card is available in two separate loyalty schemes: Bonus (Cash Back) and Amyali (air miles). Cardholders can choose the scheme that best suits them, according to their lifestyle.
The launch of the Visa Platinum credit card represents the ongoing and strong relationship between NCB and Visa, the global leader in electronic payments. In addition to the loyalty program offered by NCB, the Visa Platinum card offers very attractive travel insurance benefits of up to $200,000, Visa Global Assistance Services and also benefits from the convenience and security of a Visa card which is accepted at over 30 million outlets in 170 countries around the world
“We are very selective in including services from external parties in light of our long-standing reputation and our commitment to the highest quality of products and services. Our Visa Platinum credit card will provide our customers access to the most recognized and reliable electronic payment network in the world, which complements our focus on providing the best services to our customers,” said Adel Al- Howar, senior executive vice president and head of Consumer Finance Sector at NCB.
NCB was the first to be established in the Kingdom, commencing its operations in December 1953 with an initial paid-up capital of SR30 million.
The bank operates 1,393 automated teller machines and 12,806 point-of-sale terminals. NCB is the biggest financial asset manager in the Arab region and was also the first to offer mutual funds in Saudi Arabia.
Since the beginning of the1990s, NCB has been a pioneer in Islamic banking, offering a wide range of unique alternatives to traditional banking services and products.
NCB won one award for the best bank in Islamic finance in the world.
The award was presented by the Islamic Business & Finance magazine published by the CBI Financial Group.
