Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd., a pioneering producer of dairy products and juices in Saudi Arabia and the largest juice manufacturer in the Middle East, has affirmed its year-long support for the Ministry of Islamic Affairs' Cooperative Office for Call and Guidance in Jeddah in the form of product and financial donations. The beverage and dairy products manufacturer actively contributes to various social and charitable causes as well as nonprofit organizations, especially those involved in the development of the Kingdom's food sciences and nutrition sector inline with its corporate vision of “Health for All.” Al Rabie's support to the Office for “Call and Guidance” reflects its deep commitment to help in spreading the Islamic faith and raising awareness on its fundamental concepts. “As a prominent member of Saudi Arabia's food and beverage business, we want to make a bigger contribution to the growth of the Islamic community. The Office for “Call and Guidance” accomplishes an important role in welcoming people to our faith and enlightening believers; our assistance is a simple manifestation of our appreciation and respect for its work and its impact on Muslims in the country and throughout the region,” said Monther Al Harthi, chief executive, Al Rabie. The main function of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs' Cooperative Office for Call and Guidance in Jeddah is to increase awareness on Islamic teachings. The office constantly invites Non-Muslims to follow the faith, conducts lectures about Islam, provides guidance and explains misconceptions regarding the religion. It has been instrumental in welcoming a vast number of non-believers into the Islamic community. Al Rabie's core businesses are juices, nectars, still drinks and dairy products. It was the first dairy and juice company in the Middle East and the third internationally to use TetraPak's Tetra Prisma aseptic packaging. Al Rabie, a multiple awardee of the King Fahd prize for factory safety practices, is sustaining an expansion program it launched in 2008 aimed at boosting local and export markets through strategic distribution investments.
