A young man died on Friday after being shot in the armpit by his brother following an argument over the latter's late arrival for a hunting trip. The two brothers were due to meet at a farm in Al-Adhari', around 30 km from Doumat Al-Jandal, to hunt birds, but the late arrival of one of them prompted an argument that led to a rifle face-off during which shot was fired by the 16-year-old. The victim died before reaching hospital, while the arrested younger brother is being treated in hospital for a “mental breakdown over the incident.” A police spokesman said that the father of the two had approved a police report describing the death as “resulting from an accidental shot from a firearm.”
