Mahe Drysdale of New Zealand won his fourth consecutive title in the men's single sculls at the World Rowing Championships Saturday, fending off a late challenge from Alan Campbell of Britain. The 30-year-old Drysdale, who finished a disappointing third at the Beijing Olympics, grabbed the lead at the 500-meter mark and opened a boat-length lead before holding off a late push from Campbell to win in 6 minutes, 33.35 seconds. Campbell took silver, and Ondrej Synek of the Czech Republic won bronze. Olympic champion Olaf Tufte of Norway finished sixth.
