A man in an Al-Makhwa village returned home Wednesday to discover that all the food and drink he had stored up for the month of Ramadan had been consumed in a baboon feast. The man said he had stored up a month's worth of supplies to avoid having to go back and forth from the shops each day, but with his family temporarily away and in a hurry to get to work, he forgot to close all the windows in the house, effectively leaving an open invitation to the lurking baboons. When he returned home, he found the house turned upside down, and his Ramadan supplies worth about SR2,000, all gone. “It's not the first time they've done something like this,” the man frowned.
