Jeddah Municipality deployed teams to tear down on Monday morning 33 unlicensed processing facilities for marble, gypsum and cement blocks, in Bawadi district here. The municipality was acting on the instructions of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, the Emir of Makkah. Dozens of people without residency papers were found to have taken refuge in these facilities. A large number of pornographic tapes were confiscated. Residents of the district had complained that cement dust from these facilities was causing their children to develop chest problems. The municipality said such facilities, even if they are legal, should not be located in residential areas and near schools. __
