The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs has warned the public of a Heinz pasta product which may contain small pieces of plastic that could cause children to choke. The ministry has asked all authorities concerned to ensure that 200g jars of Mum's Own Recipe Spaghetti Bolognese baby food for children of seven months and older are not available for sale. A ministry circular noted the batch code as 9136 with an expiry date of November 2010. No other Heinz baby food products are affected. In July of this year it was reported that Heinz had informed UK and Irish authorities that it was recalling a single batch of 200g jars of Mum's Own Recipe Spaghetti Bolognese baby food, and parents and carers were advised to not use the product.
